Traitor Revealed (Japanese:蝙蝠の正体Traitor's True Nature) is twenty-fifth chapter of theBirthright campaign inFire Emblem Fates. In this chapter,Iago interruptsCorrin's army's progress towardGaron, revealing the traitor in the act.

Plot

AsElise leads Corrin's army toward Garon's throne room, Iago appears. Iago uses his magic to controlTakumi, causing him to restrainAzura; Iago explains that he has been using Takumi to know their whereabouts since his fall into the Bottomless Canyon. Azura sings to break Iago's control—Iago attempts to stop her, but is thwarted bySakura—and is successful. With Takumi free, Corrin vows to finally kill Iago, and their forces begin to engage Iago's.

Once Iago's army is defeated, Iago is cornered and attempts to convince Corrin not to kill him.Leo appears and Iago attempts to plead for his life, but Leo is unswayed and executes Iago for disgracing Nohr. Corrin asks Leo to join them, but he refuses—he now sees the righteousness of their cause, but as a prince of Nohr, he cannot be seen to fight Garon. Leo attempts to persuade Elise to stay away from the imminent fight, but she is unconvinced. Leo warns Corrin thatXander and Garon are incredibly strong and wishes them luck as they leave. As he leaves with his retainers, Leo reveals to them he has seen Garon's true state.

Summary

Lilith gives her life so that the group can defeat Hans. Shaken but still determined, they climb the tower, seeking King Garon. Ahead of them waits another trial.
