Tomebreaker (Japanese:魔殺しMagic Slayer) is askill which debuted inFire Emblem Awakening. InAwakening, it is a class skill learned bySorcerers; inFates, it is a class skill learned byButlers andMaids; while inThree Houses, it is the class mastery skill of theGrappler. It boosts the bearer'sHit andAvoid when in battle against an enemy who has atome equipped.
InFire Emblem Engage, it is one of several skills that are exclusively used by some high-level enemies on the game's hardest difficulty mode,Maddening. It also has a new effect: it grants its user a guaranteedfollow-up attack against tome-wielders and denies the target theirs, but only if the user is above half health. Tomebreaker and all other "breaker" skills are exclusive to enemyPaladins inEngage.
