Strategy
- Main article:
To War/The Battle of Garreg Mach
Be warned that this is the last opportunity you will have to spend time in the monastery and recruit students from other houses before the end of Part I. Also note that at the end of the chapter, all of your inventory items will be automatically fully repaired, so feel free to cut loose during the final battle.
On the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind route, note that whenDimitri orClaude return inthe next chapter, they will be automatically reclassed to their respective advanced class, and there will not be an opportunity to change their class again until Chapter 14. If they were using a magic-wielding class beforehand, they will lose access to their spells for the entirety of the next chapter, as their advanced classes—High Lord andWyvern Master—are incapable of wielding magic. Lastly, it is suggested to avoid training Dimitri's or Claude'sauthority levels during the chapter unless they can surpass their current rank before the end of the month; at the start of Chapter 13, their authority will be increased to C if it is below that, but due to an oversight, any skill points they have gathered toward their next authority level will be lost at the start of the next chapter, even if they have higher than C authority.
Trivia
- The route split at the end of this chapter is the first one in the franchise to be determined by a decision made in a previous chapter, in this case the choice of which house to lead at the beginning ofChapter 1.
