Dark Clouds over Awakening (Japanese:覚醒覆う暗雲Dark Clouds Covering Awakening) is the first edition ofFire Emblem Heroes'sTempest Trials. This trial ran from June 8, 2017 through June 22, 2017. It was available in five difficulty and battle number combinations, one Normal difficulty option, two Hard difficulty options (three and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each)
The maps that comprise Chapters4 and8 are available for random selection in the first two, four, or six battles, depending on difficulty and player's preference, preceding the final battle, which takes place on a fixed map.

It was available in five difficulty and battle number combinations, one Normal difficulty option, two Hard difficulty options (three and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each).

Reunited at Last (Japanese:果たされた再会Fulfilled Reunion) is the third edition ofFire Emblem Heroes'sTempest Trials. This trial ran from July 7, 2017 through July 21, 2017. It was available in seven difficulty, level, and battle number combinations, three Normal difficulty options (all with three battles each, but with varying enemy levels), two Hard difficulty options (four and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each); this is the first trial to have this combination of options as well as a different boss setup for each option, which have remained constants of Tempest Trials since.
The first through third and fifth maps that comprise both Chapters9 and12 are available for random selection in the first two, three, four, or six battles, depending on difficulty and player's preference, preceding the final battle, which takes place on a fixed map.

Genealogy of Light (Japanese:光の系譜Genealogy of Light) is the fifth edition ofFire Emblem Heroes'sTempest Trials, and the sixth overall installment of the game's Tempest story. This trial ran from October 23, 2017 through November 6, 2017. It was available in seven difficulty, level, and battle number combinations, three Normal difficulty options (all with three battles each, but with varying enemy levels), two Hard difficulty options (four and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each).
The maps ofparalogue 1, the latter two maps ofparalogue 2, and the maps ofparalogue 13 are available for random selection in the first two, three, four, or six battles, depending on difficulty and player's preference, preceding the final battle, which takes place on a fixed map.

Shrouded by the Storm (Japanese:あなたを信じますI Believe You) is the third edition ofFire Emblem Heroes'sTempest Trials Mini, a shorter variation of the Tempest Trials, and the tenth overall installment of the game's Tempest story. This trial ran from January 31, 2018 through February 7, 2018. It was available in seven difficulty, level, and battle number combinations, three Normal difficulty option (all with three battles each, but with varying enemy levels), two Hard difficulty options (four and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each).
The first four maps of Book II Chapters1 and2 are available for random selection in the first two, three, four, or six battles, depending on difficulty and player's preference, preceding the final battle, which takes place on a fixed map.
