| “ | Promise? You have to promise, Ban-Ban. I hate being alone... | ” | — Tiki, toBantu |

Tiki (Japanese:チキTiki) is anArchaneanmanakete and the last of thedivine dragon clan, and the daughter ofNaga. In her infancy, she was sealed asleep by Naga before her death to prevent her from degenerating along with the rest of the dragonkin. She was later awakened by thefire dragonBantu, who travelled the world with her, and during this time she befriended and allied with the Hero-KingMarth. As an adult, millennia later, Tiki dwelled inValm and acted as the Voice of the Divine Dragon, an oracle to Naga.
Biography
Early life
Tiki was born some time after the conclusion of theBattle of the Guardian Deity Naga against theearth dragons,740 years prior to the foundation of the Kingdom of Archanea. In −500, as one of her last acts prior to her apparent death, Naga placed Tiki in theIce Dragon Temple in the continent's far north, putting her into a deep sleep in a bid to prevent her from suffering the same inevitable degeneration as all other dragons.[1]Gotoh, having discarded his owndragonstone, was entrusted by Naga with protecting Tiki during the following millennia.
Bantu and Marth

At some point in the intervening years,Bantu came to the Ice Dragon Temple, took pity on her for her perpetual sleep and imprisonment, and so awoke her and took her into his own care. Initially the two remained at the temple, until Bantu one day took her on a journey to visit a human village, after which the two continued travelling the rest of the world together. During this time, Tiki was frequently plagued by nightmares in which she also degenerated and attacked humans.[4]
Bantu and Tiki travelled together until some time into theWar of Shadows, in which the two were separated. Tiki was abducted byGharnef and taken to theFane of Raman, where he hypnotized her into his service and tasked her with guarding the Fane from intruders. The two were reunited with the arrival ofMarth's army at the Fane, seeking theStarsphere andLightsphere; Bantu, who had been travelling with Marth in a bid to find her, freed Tiki from her hypnosis and took her back into his care, and the two fought together in the remainder of the war. During this time, Tiki befriended Marth, eventually becoming very close to him. In the war's aftermath, she briefly resumed travelling with Bantu until Gotoh intervened. Gotoh returned her to the Ice Dragon Temple and placed her once more into a deep sleep, knowing she could not be allowed to be awake with theBinding Shield incomplete.[5]
Three years later, during theWar of Heroes, Gotoh allowed Tiki to awaken once Marth gathered all twelve shards of theStarsphere, given Marth's intent on collecting the other missing orbs and restoring the Shield.[6] Upon awaking her, Marth swore to protect Tiki for the rest of her life and to allow her to live with him, and Tiki fought in Marth's army for the remainder of the war. Following Medeus's death and the war's end, Tiki and Bantu set out to visit the village she first visited,[7] then came to live with Marth at the Archanean capital following his unification of the continent.[8]
Era of Ylisse

During the intervening millennia, Tiki – now an adult – travelled toValentia/Valm and took up residence there. At some point worship of Naga became the primary faith of the land, and Tiki became revered by the people of Valm as an oracle to Naga, known as the "Voice of the Divine Dragon".[9] Following the Schism, in which the Binding Shield was once again broken, Tiki took possession of one of its gemstones,Azure.
During the rise ofWalhart and his reunification of Valm into an empire, Tiki was taken prisoner by Walhart's army and confined to her temple atop the Mila Tree, under heavy guard. WhenChrom ofYlisse arrived in Valm to engage Walhart in a war, his army was guided bySay'ri to the Mila Tree, where they freed Tiki and gained her support for their opposition to Walhart.[10] Tiki's blessing acted as something of a rallying point for the then-fragmented Resistance, but Tiki herself was initially too weak to personally participate in the war.[11] She additionally tasked Chrom andLucina with collecting the Fire Emblem's gemstones and restoring it to its complete state, in order to perform anAwakening in preparation for the revival ofGrima, whose resurging presence she faintly felt.[12]
Shortly afterward, Tiki travelled to Naga's Cradle in the Divine Dragon Grounds, seeking to perform a rite to draw Naga's power from the land and gain the power to join Chrom's army in fighting Walhart.[13] Her meditations required her to focus and not move, and so Chrom's army defended her from aRisen attack seeking to kill her before she could gain power. Once the Risen were defeated and the rite completed, Tiki joined Chrom's army until the end of the war, at which point she returned to Valm.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
When transformed into aDivine Dragon, Tiki is four points away from having capped strength; she is capable of one-shottingDracoknights, asFog Breath ignores their defense and dealseffective damage, giving her use in Chapters17 and18. In addition, transformation grants Tiki flight, 1–2 range attacks, and 7 movement. However, asbreath attacks have 20 weight, Tiki will always have 0 attack speed and will be unable to double. While the inability to double hampers her offense, enemies are often too slow to double Tiki; when combined with her decent base durability of 36 HP and 14 defense, she will usually not be a liability when in range of multiple enemies. Tiki can also leave enemies in killing range for other units with her consistent initial damage output of 26 and good accuracy. Tiki's combination of movement, bulk, and damage is rare among units who can attack at 1–2 range, as Bishops have mobility and durability issues, while Javeins and Levin Swords deal poor damage. Tiki performs well in the endgame chapters; her high resistance as a Divine Dragon allows her to take attacks from theMeteor tomes common in those chapters, and she deals effective damage todragons while taking little damage from them at base.
UnlikeBantu, Tiki can use everydragonstone available to the player, each of which is available in thesecret shop inChapter 14—the most notable of these stones are theMagestone and theWyvernstone. The Magestone transforms Tiki into aMage Dragon, significantly boosting both her defense and resistance. The Wyvernstone transforms Tiki into aWyvern, which has slightly less strength than the Divine Dragon, but the highest movement available at 12. TheFirestone andIcestone are both superfluous, as there are no more Ice or Fire dragons for their effectiveness to matter, and their stats are nothing special. These dragonstones are expensive at 18,000 gold each, and the shop can only be accessed bywarping a character with theMember Card into an otherwise inaccessible area. Breaths other than the Divine Dragon's Fog Breath also lack effectiveness against the types of dragon that will be encountered past Chapter 14. The durability of the stones shouldn't be that big of a concern, as the Divinestone's 18 uses alone should carry Tiki for the rest of the game as long as she's only using 1–2 per chapter, and she can use one of the free Firestones if she needs more uses.
As Tiki's HP doubles upon transformation, she gains double the benefit from anAngelic Robe as other characters; with only one Angelic Robe, Tiki will have 50 transformed HP, two points away from the universal cap of 52. Her 0% defense growth can be beneficial in luring enemy dragons, as enemies inMystery of the Emblem will not attack a character that they cannot damage and she takes only a little damage from them; for this purpose, Tiki is not a good candidate for defense boosts from theStarsphere orDracoshields unless the player is willing to forgo Tiki's ability to attract enemy dragons in the endgame maps (as they'll do 0 damage to her, causing their AI to ignore her) in favor of taking more hits from other enemy types, which is less unique.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Tiki's Divinestone gives her a colossal 67 attack power against enemy Manaketes, allowing her to easily one-shot the many Manaketes in the final two chapters on Normal and still deal extreme damage to them on H5. She has very low base Speed, and the endgame Manaketes are extremely fast, meaning she will get follow-up attacked at first. Fire Dragons will 2HKO her, and while Mage Dragons do only a small amount of damage, her low HP can leave her vulnerable if she engages too many at once. She gains EXP very quickly, and she has some of the highest growths in the game, so her HP and offensive stats will skyrocket. On Normal, since she already OHKOs all Manaketes, the main tangible benefit this has is improving her hit rate, because her base hit rate is high but not perfect, and missing against a Fire Dragon will likely get her killed by the counterattack. On H5, heavy favoritism with Energy Drops and experience can get her to the 18 Strength threshold she needs to one-shot endgame Manaketes. She is one of the few characters who can deal heavy damage to Medeus, but since her Speed cap is only 24 when counting the Divinestone boost, she gets doubled by Medeus on higher difficulties. This means she will need defensive investment to survive him, but if she is granted this she becomes the only unit who can go head-to-head with Medeus and feasibly win. Alternatively, the player can abuseAum to revive her and let her attack again. In this case, it is ideal to keep Tiki's defensive stats low enough to the point where she gets one-shot by Medeus's 50 attack to max out her chances of dying. If the player has access to a strong forged ballista, they can use it to chip down Medeus enough for Tiki to finish off in one hit.
If the Divinestone bonuses would cause Tiki's Defense or Resistance to exceed 30, they will stop at 30. Her Defense base and Resistance growth are too low for this to ever matter under normal circumstances, however.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE
Role

Tiki appears in the crossover titleTokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, with her appearance based on her younger incarnation.[14]
She is aMirage who has an "Uta-loid" (a parody onVocaloid) based off of her. Her Uta-loid program was a cover made byFortuna Studios in their Mirage investigations. Tiki's signature song inTokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE isBeastie Game. Many people make songs using her Uta-loid software, the most prominent composer being "TikiIsMyWaifu". Tiki's program brought Uta-loid into mainstream music rather than remaining a niche genre.
Tiki herself performs Unities in theBloom Palace, which give characters newCarnage andRadiant Skills. Tiki's profile jokingly mentions that the Uta-loid program was released five years prior the events ofTokyo Mirage Sessions on February 28th and the program's filesize is approximately 3GB.
Fire Emblem Heroes

There are eleven different variations of Tiki available inHeroes.
Fire Emblem Warriors
Role
During the main story Tiki, withMarth,Caeda andNavarre, abruptly appears during the ending ofChapter 14 to assistRowan andLianna in retreating from the area. Marth's group receives the shortest amount of spotlight before joining, having virtually none, compared to the other recruited characters fromAwakening andFates. It is unclear how Tiki and the others were informed that the twins needed rescue and neither the main story or her supports with any characters appear to ever elaborate on it.
Tiki accompanies Aytolis's forces for the rest of the story and aids in the defeat ofVelezark. Upon Velezark's defeat the portals to other worlds begin closing and Marth, along with all the other heroes, are forcibly returned to their home worlds.

Personality

In her childhood, Tiki disliked eating vegetables in their raw state, which led Bantu to take up vegetable pickling in a bid to have them in a form Tiki liked eating.[15]
Tiki is very childish, referring toBantu as "Ban-Ban" (Japanese:おじいちゃまGrandpa) andMarth as "Mar-Mar" (Japanese:マルスのおにいちゃんBig Brother Marth).
She also tries to giveKris a nickname in their second base conversation inNew Mystery of the Emblem: she calls male Kris (Japanese:クリスのおにいちゃんBig Brother Kris) and (Japanese:クリスのおじいちゃまGrandpa Kris), and she calls female Kris (Japanese:クリスのおねえちゃんBig Sister Kris) and (Japanese:クリスのおばあちゃまGrandma Kris), derived from her terms for Marth and Bantu. She also tries (Japanese:クリス様Lord/Lady Kris) for both genders, based on LordGotoh (Japanese:ガトー様Lord Gato). At the end, Kris decides to go with "Big Brother/Big Sister Kris".
The "Heroes of Shadow"fan translation changes "Big Brother/Big Sister Kris" to "Tar-Tar" (fromavatar) and "Grandpa/Grandma Kris" to "Uncool Kris" (a mispronunciation of uncle used for both genders to add humor). It is stated that other children refer to Bantu as "Uncle Bantu", which Tiki attempts to imitate for Kris; this is presumably due to the words for grandfather and uncle being written similarly in hiragana (おじい for grandfather,おじ for uncle).

Tiki/Bond conversations
As anEmblem, Tiki does not have any support conversations. However, upon reaching bond level 5, 10, and 20 with any character, she has short bond conversations with them instead, which unlock the next bond level. Increasing bond level provides a variety of bonuses, such as raising the stat bonus Tiki provides to synchronized units, inheriting weapon proficiencies, unlocking new sync skills and engage weapons, or extending the duration of each engagement.

With the Shadow Dragon slain, Tiki and the others returned to their world. There, with everyone's help, Tiki held a live concert. The faint glimmer twinkling in the audience may be the first new flicker of Performa...

Tiki and the others returned to their world and committed their adventures to a script. Tiki, Troubled Uta-loid (Completed one of Tiki's side stories)
After Tiki and the others returned to their world, they wrote a record of their adventures in order to one day fulfill their promise to Itsuki—a story they called the Tome of Mirages. It spread all over their world, attracting interest toward the performing arts.

After defeating the Shadow Dragon, Tiki and the others returned to their world, but the Uta-loid Tiki still continued to receive updates and patches, and remained a cultural icon and favorite of the public. Tiki's popularity lasts even after Enter-Kingdom, and she eventually becomes a virtual idol known worldwide.

Trivia

- The SpotPass version of Tiki inAwakening shares her battle model withNowi, as does any manakete-motheredMorgan.
- According to theFire Emblem 25th Anniversary Staff Book, at some point in the development ofShadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Tiki was originally known as "Arion" (Japanese:アリオンArion) and had a radically different design.
- A tarnished version of Tiki's hairpin fromShadow Dragon is available for units to wear inFire Emblem Fates if the player asks for a sacred gift from theMarthamiibo or tells him that he or she is not good at swordplay.
- Coincidentally, her voice actress, Mela Lee, also provides the voice of a similarly named character from the French CGI TV seriesMiraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir called Tikki. The only difference is that Lee voiced Tiki with an RP English accent while she voices Tikki with her normal American accent.
- InEngage, Tiki's eyes in her icon for Player Cards are green as usual for all of her other appearances, despite most Emblems having eyes with a more greyish-purple hue.

Please free her from her destruction." —Gotoh,Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem

- ↑"Say'ri: Since ancient times, many of our people have worshipped Naga. More precisely, we worship the divine dragon's oracle, Lady Tiki. Though most know her only as the Voice. The Voice is trapped in her temple as Walhart's prisoner. But if she were freed...
Robin: The Resistance could unite around her. Where is the Voice being held?
Say'ri: There is a shrine built in the branches of the divine Mila Tree. She is confined there." —Say'ri andRobin,Fire Emblem Awakening - ↑"I am fine... Just very tired... I haven't the strength to join you in the fray. Not yet. But I will call the people together, in prayer, for an end to this conflict." — Tiki,Fire Emblem Awakening
- ↑"Tiki: Here. Take Azure, exalted ones. With it, you possess two of the five Gemstones. Now you must seek out the others and perform the Awakening. Our world must be defended from Grima at all costs!
Chrom: But I'm confused... I thought Grima's power was sealed away.
Tiki: Yes, but ever since, there have been those who would change that. Grima's life force grows even now, and with it, the long shadows of despair.
Lucina: ......
Chrom: When will he return? And where?
Tiki: I cannot know these things. But I can feel his presence... It looms, closer and closer... This task is a heavy burden, but as he of exalted blood, it must fall to you, Chrom." —Tiki,Chrom andLucina,Fire Emblem Awakening - ↑"This is Naga's Cradle. It is said the divine dragon once called this place home. Here, the Voice will enact a holy rite to commune with Naga and regain her power. [...] Pray be silent, milady. The Voice is currently performing the rite. In doing so, she will draw the divine dragon's power from the land unto herself." —Say'ri,Fire Emblem Awakening
