Thyrsus (pronounced /⁠'θɝsɪs⁠/^[key], Japanese:テュルソスの杖Thyrsos Staff) is astaff that first appeared in the mainFire Emblem series inFire Emblem: Three Houses. In that game, it is one of theHeroes' Relics, and is tied to theCrest of Gloucester. It provides a huge boost to the user'srange with magic; if the user bears the Crest of Gloucester, it also grantsPavise andAegis.

Thyrsus's overall debut was as aCarnage in the spin-off gameTokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, where it is arod Carnage available toKiria Kurono, and only available if herMirage,Tharja, has been made aSorcerer. It has the effect of draining force damage, but lacks other special effects outside its granted skills.

• Thyrsus, along withAsclepius andCaduceus, are the first weapons to debut in theFire Emblem series as Carnages inTokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE and later reappear in another game. All of them are rod Carnages associated with Kiria Kurono inTokyo Mirage Sessions, and appear as staves inThree Houses.
• InThree Houses,Lorenz (if not recruited in Part I) will not have Thyrsus in his possession if encountered as an enemy in Part II, presumably because he is encountered in a class that cannot use magic. This contrasts most other unrecruited characters, who wield their Heroes' Relics when encountered as enemies in Part II.
