The Triumph of Valor is the seventh chapter ofFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on the Scarlet Blaze route. This chapter consists of five side missions and one main missions. Additionally, excluding theNew Game+ exclusive paralogueEagles, Lions, and Deer, the firstparalogues become available during this chapter.

Plot

Claude meets with the remainingGolden Deer and introduces them toByleth, who will be fighting alongside them in the upcoming battle. Meanwhile,Edelgard and theBlack Eagles realize they cannot take the direct route toCount Bergliez's aid for fear of falling into Claude's traps but also have to maintain a swift pace in order to reach him in time. The Imperial army arrives at Count Bergliez's position and breaks the siege. Claude summonsJeralt's Mercenaries to cut off their retreat, but the Empire is able to defeat Claude and Byleth. However, before Shez can defeat Byleth, Byleth's hair suddenly changes color and they begin speaking in the voice of a young girl. Shez barely escapes when Byleth manages to regain control of their body. Claude laments how all of his efforts came to nothing, while Edelgard commends Count Bergliez and his men for holding out against impossible odds. Shez floats the idea of hiring Byleth, much toArval's shock. Meanwhile, Byleth confronts the being who possessed them, the progenitor godSothis. Sothis explains that she can forcibly take over Byleth's body at any time she wishes. Afterwards,Hubert reports that Kingdom forces are marching for Arianrhod to reclaim it and kill the defectors from the Kingdom. Edelgard elects to link up with the western lords' troops led byDuke Gerth and reinforce Arianrhod. Meanwhile, Count Bergliez will open up negotiations with the defeated Alliance.

Strategy

While preparing for this chapter's main mission, remember to deployIgnatz if you wish to recruitRaphael. Ignatz does not have to fight Raphael, he just needs to be deployed on the field to be able to recruit Raphael. The mission starts out with two strongholds, with each one housing a recruitable character. Both strongholds have to be seized to proceed, and once you have done so, another set of two strongholds will need to be seized.Lysithea, one of the commanders, can be recruited if the corresponding strategy was selected, whileHilda has to be defeated to proceed (though she will retreat). Once you have seized all four strongholds, head forCount Bergliez and his troops and help them defend against the incoming enemies. You will then be tasked to select one of two escape routes. Both routes will result in you being ambushed, with the ambusher being eitherAlois orJeralt, depending on the chosen route. If you have spare strategy resources and wish to go for the S Rank, the strategyBergliez Onslaught will open up a third, much faster path that avoids both ambushers. Regardless of which route you went with, you will then be attacked byByleth, andClaude will open the gates to his stronghold, allowing you to attack him. Both bosses have to be defeated in order to complete the chapter, though neither boss will directly charge you while you attack the other.

If you find yourself in a situation where you cannot recruit all three available characters, prioritisingLysithea has the benefit of granting access to theparalogue chapterEnshrouded Memories, which is exclusive to the Scarlet Blaze route and requires her,Edelgard, andHapi to be recruited and alive. Raphael is required for access to the paralogue chapterUnsettling Truths, though this chapter is available on all three routes. Marianne does not grant access to an additional paralogue, and none of the units grant access to particularly noteworthy abilities or items.
