Introduction
| “ | Dolhr... Land of the Manaketes. Though its name has become widely feared, the kingdom itself is still shrouded in mystery. All that's known for certain is that this is where it all began: where Medeus returned. The Shadow Dragon plunged all of Archanea into a vicious cycle of war and despair, as if the War of Liberation had returned with him. And yet Medeus's efforts to stamp out humanity—his "just" cause—were nearly quashed, as his empire was on the verge of collapse. Through Marth's efforts across the land, Dolhr's allies fell or defected one by one. Now, Medeus had only his most ardent supporters left. As the Shadow Dragon prepared to make his final stand, Marth arrived at his final destination... | ” | — Chapter 19 Intro |

Opening
Malledus: We're here, sire. Just across these mountains lies Dolhr Keep, where Medeus awaits. At times, I thought we'd never set foot here, I'll admit... But your leadership has been truly inspiring. As your ever-faithful strategist, to remain at your side all this time.
Marth: Thank you, Malledus... It's been a long journey indeed, and now we're finally at the end of it.But... I was expecting a fierce battle with Medeus the moment we arrived. Why has he not left his castle to face us?
Malledus: According to Lord Gotoh, Medeus has not fully resurrected yet. He must remain inside the castle's walls to assume his dragon form. "Only therein will the power of the seal not reach him." That is what Lord Gotoh told me.
Marth: "Power of the seal?" What seal? If there was a way to simply seal Medeus away all this time, I'd have liked to know about it!
Malledus: All I know of it are the vague bits Gotoh mentioned before warping us away. If only I could've pressed him further... It was a creation of Naga, left behind after driving away the Earth Dragons the first time. The "Binding Shield," he called it.
Marth: Ah, is that what he meant? I've heard the term, in old legends of the Guardian God. But I thought they were just that—legends.. If the Binding Shield truly exists, then why has Medeus been able to return at all, incomplete or otherwise? But I thought it was all just a myth. If the Shield of Seals truly exists, then why has Medeus appeared?
Malledus: Your guess is as good as mine, sire. But we mustn't get distracted with what could've been, now that we're finally on Medeus's front doorstep. Now's our chance to strike, before he can regain his full strength. Are you ready, sire?
Marth: I am. We're so close to restoring peace to the world. I won't falter now, with the end in sight. Everyone! We make for Dolhr Keep! Let us put a stop to this war!
(Xemcel transforms)
House
Old Man: Nestled in the southern mountains lies the holy temple known as the Resurrectory. If you possess the staff of Aum, then stand before the temple's Only then will you be able to actually use the staff! But it's worth it, of course. There you can call back a departed friend from the grave. Unfortunately, it's only good for a single cast. You'd better choose wisely who you want to revive!

Medeus: Foolish boy! You really think a human such as yourself can stand up to me? The mightiest of all Earth Dragons? Hah! You'll find me much harder to tame than that braggart Gharnef. But come! Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
| “ | Dolhr...Land of the Manaketes. Before Medeus, the dragonkin had few dealings with the human realm, but when the Shadow Dragon came, everything changed. He sunk all Archanea into a cycle of war, in which heroes rose and heroes fell- always claiming his cause was just and the humans deaths deserved. But now Medeus's empire was crumbling...He was nearing the end of his reign...even as Marth was nearing the end of his long quest. | ” | — Chapter 24 intro |

During battle
Malledus: There, sire. Up on the mountains to the south, you can see Dolhr Keep.
(Camera zooms briefly)
Marth: And inside is Medeus, king of the earth dragons- the one they call the Shadow Dragon. ...Why doesn't he leave the keep and face us?
Malledus: I recall Lord Gotoh saying his return is not yet complete; only within the keep's walls can he maintain dragon form.
Marth: Really...? Then we have the advantage...
(Malledus leaves conversation)
Marth: To Dolhr Keep, then! Let us put a stop to this war!
Houses and villages
- Villager: Nestled in the mountains far to the southeast is a holy temple known as the Resurrectory. Use the staff of Aum there, and they say you can call a departed friend back from beyond the river of death...
Against Xemcel
Xemcel: This land, all of it- it belonged to us! Then you humans took it...defiled it!
Defeating Xemcel
Xemcel: Rrgh...Emperor...Medeus...Forgive your servant's weakness...
Ending
(If Tiki survived and you already have Falchion)
Enemy Soldier: Emperor! The enemy has broken through the gates!
Medeus: That impudent boy...Have the guards take their positions. The keep must be defended.
Enemy Soldier: At once!
(Enemy Soldier leaves)
Medeus: Hmph, you'll find an earth dragon like me harder to tame than Gharnef, brat. Come and face me. I'll tear the ground asunder andsend you straight down to hell!
(If Tiki was defeated and Falchion is lost or not obtained)
????: Marth... Can you hear me?
Marth: Lord Gotoh?
Gotoh: I know you mean to challenge Medeus. But you and your companions haven't the power to win.
Marth: What? Why not? Because I failed to retrieve Falchion?
Gotoh: You also failed to save the divine-dragon girl.
Marth: I...did not mean for anything to happen to her-
Gotoh: You can put your heart at ease. Tiki is not dead. She has merely returned to her slumber. Still, without her powers... We must take other steps. ...Select a handful of your best warriors. I must send you into an unseen dimension.
Marth: An...unseen dimension, my lord?
Gotoh: A place outside the confines of our world. There you will find a tower; and once in the tower, you must pass its Keepers' test. If your strength and your need are great enough, the tower's master will answer... and then, perhaps, your fortunes will be changed for the better.
