The Doting Sister (Japanese:暗き妖艶Dark Bewitchment) is the fifth divineparalogue inFire Emblem Engage, unlocked upon the completion ofThe Ancestor. As a divine paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter,Alear awakensEmblem Camilla from her bracelet in hopes of having her join their team. Camilla recalls that words are usually never enough to sway others to one's side, even if they're from family, but Alear insists that they prove to her just how resolved they are. Camilla accepts their challenge and so a battle begins in a place familiar to the emblem.

  • On Maddening Mode, Camilla will not move if she was attacked by a player unit and will only move when she has an opportunity to deal a significant amount of damage to a player unit.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

This map is less of a test of tactics and more of a slog. Bring an armored unit and two bowmen. Your main goal is to make your way counterclockwise around the map to reach Camilla at the top. She will use Dragon Veins to destroy the wooden scaffolding that bars your path. One shot turns them into rubble that fliers can fly over, while two destroys them entirely. Leave your armor and one of your bowmen in the southwest corner to act as a rearguard against the enemy cavalry and fliers. Eventually, the enemy reinforcements will become infinite fliers with Void Curse. Leave your bowmen in the southern corners to keep them suppressed and move your armored unit to rejoin the front line. Camilla won't aggro until you're in range of both her and one of the prompted units clearly based on Selena or Beruka. Once she attacks, overwhelm her as usual. Her claim to fame as an Emblem is to casually drop wings on whoever you want.

Trivia

  • This chapter is based off ofChapter 23 ofFire Emblem Fates Birthright
    • Despite Camilla being the Emblem of Revelation (Emblem of Conquest in Japan), this stage takes place in a Birthright exclusive stage, though this may be because that is the chapter where enemy Camilla is fought at her strongest
    • There is aBow Knight andWyvern Knight near Camilla (that may have a revival stone based on the dynamic difficulty) that are most likely references toSelena andBeruka as they appear with those classes in the mentioned chapter.
