Tears of a Dragon (Japanese:星竜の涙Star Dragon's Tears) is twenty-fourth chapter of theBirthright campaign inFire Emblem Fates. In this chapter,Corrin's army enters Castle Krakenberg and clashes with an army lead byHans.

Plot

Corrin's army reaches the end of the secret tunnel, which grants access to Castle Krakenburg via a small stairway. To prevent drawing attention, only Corrin and a few others exit at first. They emerge in an active training ground; Corrin notices they are lead byHans, and expresses a desire to avengeGunter's death. The Nohrians notice Corrin's group and surround them. Hans orders the soldiers swarm the Hoshidans; the soldiers are easily killed, but doing so tires Corrin. Hans takes the opportunity to attack Corrin, butLilith intercepts, taking the attack in their stead. Corrin swears vengeance against Hans.Preparations occur at this point, and the battle begins thereafter.

Once the battle is over and Hans is defeated,Ryoma accepts the Nohrians' surrender. Corrin holds Lilith asSakura andElise attempt to heal her to no avail. Lilith attempts to console Corrin before succumbing to her wounds, leaving Corrin and others in tears. Ryoma urges Corrin to fight on in Lilith's name, and Corrin resolves to end the war that day. Elise leads them to Garon's room, but requests they try talking first.

Summary

The group makes it through the labyrinth and enters the castle, but they're surprised by where they emerge and by the enemy that is waiting for them there.
