Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Tarvos is anaxe which is present only in the NTSC-U and PAL versions ofFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It is thepersonal weapon ofNolan of theDawn Brigade. Its stats are comparable to theSteel Poleaxe, although it's lighter, stronger and much more accurate and has a crit bonus and slightly more uses.

History

Tarvos is one of the three national treasures of the Kingdom ofDaein, along withCaladbolg andLughnasadh. It spent years in storage in Daein's vaults, waiting for a worthy bearer.[1] It was entrusted to Nolan by KingPelleas for use in the Daein army's campaign against theLaguz Alliance, and he had his generalMicaiah deliver it to Nolan.[2]

Trivia

  • As with Caladbolg and Lughnasadh, Tarvos was created specifically for the international releases ofRadiant Dawn, and is not present in any form in the Japanese version. They are the only items in the entire series to be added in localization this way.
