TheSword Fighter (Japanese:ソードファイターSword Fighter) is a sword-wielding base class present in theFire Emblem series. It is present only inFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War,Thracia 776 andEngage, and is a counterpart to theMercenary andMyrmidon classes from other games.

Sword Fighters can promote toSwordmasters in all their appearances. In addition, depending on the game, they can promote to an alternate class:Forrest inGenealogy of the Holy War,Mercenary inThracia 776, andHero inEngage.

InJugdral, the Sword Fighter is strongly associated with the country ofIsaach.
