Staunch Shield (Japanese:主君の盾Lord's shield) is anability which debuted inFire Emblem: Three Houses. The personal ability ofDedue, it grants the user increaseddefense if they take no action other than waiting. It returns inFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as theUnique Support Ability of Dedue and slightly fills hisWarrior Gauge while guarding, with Perfect Guards resulting in a bigger increase.
