TheSpear Soldier (Japanese:スピアソルジャーSpear Soldier) is aclass that has never made an official appearance in theFire Emblem seriesFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, the only time it appeared in a game's coding, had the Spear Soldier class go unused.

The Spear Soldier would have been one of a number of variants of the similarly-unusedSoldier class, others of which include theSword Soldier,Axe Soldier, andArcher, all of which also went unused; as its name implies, the Spear Soldier would have been alance-wielding variant capable of wielding stronger lances than the Soldier, which is a closer lance-wielding variant to the other variants.
