TheSolar Brace (Japanese:太陽の腕輪Sun Bracelet) is aclass change item exclusive toFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It is used to promote thelord characterEphraim, and prior to this point is worn by him throughout the game's events and plays a relatively large role in the game's plot.
History
The Solar Brace is one of two keys to the seal which protected theSacred Stone ofRenais and the country'sSacred Twin weapons,Siegmund andSieglinde; the other key is the Solar Brace's twin, theLunar Brace worn by his sisterEirika. The Solar Brace was worn byEphraim as a gift from his father, KingFado, who never told him or Eirika of the bracelets' significance; unlike Eirika, Ephraim would not learn the truth about it fromSeth until much later.[1] When the war withGrado began, one of the missions of Grado's army was to seize the bracelets from Eirika and Ephraim so they could steal the Stone. After recapturing Renais from the traitorOrson, Eirika and Ephraim used the two braces to unlock the Sacred Stone and weapons, and the light of the Stone empowered the bracelets to allow the two tochange class.[2]
