Smash Brethren 2 (Japanese:紅対蒼 蒼炎編Red vs. blue: Blue flame chapter) is adownloadable content xenologue chapter inFire Emblem Awakening. As a xenologue chapter, it does not officially bear a chapter number; if all xenologues are purchased and its list is viewed at theOutrealm Gate, Smash Brethren 2 is the eleventh one from the top in the North American version of the game. Officially in Japan and unofficially in North America, Smash Brethren 2 is part of the first series of DLC releases, a distinction that does not exist in the PAL regions.
This chapter was first made available on June 6, 2012 in Japan, March 21, 2013 in North America, and July25-26 in the PAL regions. PAL region players who purchased the Smash Pack prior to Smash Brethren 2's official release were able to play the chapter a week early.
In this chapter, the tides have turned against the forces ofTellius as the forces ofElibe have teamed up with forces ofMagvel. TheShepherds must now take on the combined forces of Elibe and Magvel.

Old Hubba meetsChrom and theShepherds as they travel to the sameOutrealm as inSmash Brethren 1; Hubba has convinced one of theEinherjar armies the Shepherds are their allies. TheElibean–Magvelian army begins to attack theTellian army; Chrom arrives and speaks withElincia confirming the two are allies. After battle, Chrom receives an Einherjar ofEirika—from Elincia if she survived the battle, or fromRobin if not.
