Sleep (Japanese:スリープSleep) is a recurringstatus effect which first appeared inFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. In most games it appears in, it prevents the unit from making any kind of action, and fromcounterattacking. Depending on the game, sleep status may have no adverse affect on the unit's ability to dodge. Similar to silenced units, sleeping units cannot betalked to or havesupport conversations with other units.
