TheSky Knight (Japanese:天馬武者Tenma Musya) is abase flying,pegasus-mountedclass debuting inFire Emblem Fates. It is identical in function to thePegasus Knight class of previous entries in theFire Emblem series, as abasic class which wieldsnaginata, theHoshidan equivalent oflances. Unlike Pegasus Knights, however, Sky Knights may be either male or female.

Much like the class' predecessor, Sky Knights are known for their impressivespeed andresistance, making them highly effective at neutralizing magical threats. However, their lowHP anddefense leaves them vulnerable when faced against strong physical units such asFighters, and they alsofall easily toBows,yumi, andwind magic, as is common to all flying units. Despite these initial difficulties, however, they can grow to become some of the player's most useful units.

Sky Knights may promote to eitherFalcon Knights, orKinshi Knights.

Trivia

• In the American version, the Sky Knight's help description mistakenly states that they excel indefense. The Japanese version states they have highresistance instead.^[1] This was fixed for the European release.
