TheSilver Axe (Japanese:銀の斧Silver Axe) is a rare basicaxe which was introduced inFire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and is present in every game since apart fromEchoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the last and strongest in the line of basic axes, surpassing theIron andSteel Axes inmight, but it requires a highweapon level to use, and is much moreexpensive and usually has much lowerdurability than its weaker counterparts.
In Book 2 ofMystery of the Emblem, multiple Silver Axes can be obtained, but no playable unit can use them. Their only purpose in that campaign is to be sold for gold, similarly to theRed/Blue/White/Black/Gold Gems andBullions of later games.

- Although there are no axe-wielding playable units at all in Book 2 ofMystery of the Emblem, the player still receives Silver Axes somewhat regularly in it. These axes are meant to be sold for a decent sum of money.
