Sharena (pronounced /⁠ʃəˈɹeɪnə⁠/^[key][3]; Japanese:シャロンSharon) is a princess of theKingdom of Askr, and a member of theOrder of Heroes. She seeks to protect her kingdom against theEmblian Empire. Along with her brother,Alfonse, she is commanded byAnna, the leader of the Order of Heroes.

Sharena is the daughter ofGustav andHenriette, making her princess ofAskr and younger sister ofAlfonse.

When she was a child, Sharena frequently visitedLjósálfheimr, the realm of good dreams. There, she metPeony, a child her age. The two became great friends within their dreams. Because of their great resemblance to one another, the two would swap clothes in their dreams, and even sometimes switched places when waking up.^[4] When Ljósálfheimr was threatened by the realm of nothingness andGinnungagap, Sharena and Peony were both recruited by the king of Ljósálfheimr,Freyr, to become the realm of dream's pure hearted champions and fight off the nothingness. To become those champions, the five chosen children were offered dream nectar, which would transform them into Álfr. However, those who become Álfr would forget their pasts, and become unable to return to the realm of mortals.

Though the other four children came from abusive homes, Sharena, as princess of Askr, could not bear this price, and refused the dream nectar. As a result, she forgot her time in Ljósálfheimr just like Peony, now an Álfr, forgot her. Although Sharena and Peony's penchant to switch places makes it ambiguous which of them ultimately took the dream nectar, and which of them truly returned to Askr as Sharena.

Some time later, Sharena joined theOrder of Heroes alongside her brother.

The normal variation of Sharena is one of the characters available from the game's initial launch; prior to version 2.5.0, the normal variation of Sharena began the game as a two-star unit, whereas players who first begin the game after the release of version 2.5.0 have her begin the game as a four-star unit instead. A spring variation of Sharena was made available between the period of March 22, 2018 through April 22, 2018 as part of the summoning event surrounding theHares at the Fair update. A bride variation of Sharena—a duo hero withVeronica—was added on May 20, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to June 19, 2024.
