Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Sara joins rather late, regardless of which route the player chooses, though she joins one chapter earlier and with an additional staff,Restore, in the B route. She starts a bit underleveled at level 7, with good offensive bases but pitiful defensive base stats. Her 12 base skill is enough for her to never miss with a staff. Her bases, promotion gains, and growth rates in magic and skill mean that she will reliably cap these stats even when promoted at level 10, while being very close to the speed cap as well. Sara is also one of the few characters to have 5Action stars, meaning she will get a second turn 25% of the time after acting; this effect allows her to use staves twice per turn when it activates but is not reliable.
Sara joins with E rank in all forms of magic except light magic, in which she has a D rank, but with a B rank in staves, which becomes an A rank upon promotion. Her promotion can be easily accessed withParagon and access toFortify. With an A rank in staves, she will gain access to powerful staves, such asWarp,Rewarp, andRescue, and she has exclusive access to theKia staff, which allows the player to reverseEyvel's petrification inChapter 24x, a state that not even Restore can undo. She is a useful staffer in the endgame chapters, where staves are at their most beneficial, and her high magic means she will be immune to the effects of the status staves used in those chapters.
Sara's combat ability is mixed. While she does have great offensive stats, her physical durability is awful. This makesWrath hard to use, as she will be risking death if facing multiple enemies.Miracle and her high speed do help in this regard though. Furthermore, she has an FCM of 0, so while she will be good at killing generic enemies, her boss-killing potential is less impressive than most mages.
