TheSaint (Japanese:聖者Saint) is an advanced magicalclass which was introduced inFire Emblem Gaiden. InGaiden and its remake,Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, it is thepromoted form of theCleric, available only to women, and primarily emphasizeswhite magic with access toblack magic. InFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, it is a rarethird-tier promoted class and the final stage in the class change line for thePriest, and is now a gender-neutral class. Promoting from theBishop class, it uses bothlight magic andstaves.
Saints are designed to mainly take advantage of supporting their allies from behind the front lines through their white magic and staves. Their most outstanding feature is their exceptionally highresistance, the strongest of their stats; they also possess highmagic and goodskill andspeed, ensuring that if necessary they are competent fighters in and of themselves. However, theirHP anddefense are lacking like most magical classes, rendering them frail and vulnerable to physical assaults even compared to other magical classes.

Trivia
- InGaiden, Saints are internally the same class asBonewalkers; whether a unit is a Saint or a Bonewalker is determined by its affiliation.
- The Saint is one of only five playable classes inRadiant Dawn whose members can achieve multipleSS levels. The others are theLight Priestess,Vanguard,Chancellor, andBlack Knight. Of these classes, the Saint is the only one which is not exclusive to a single character.
- InRadiant Dawn's class roll, the Saint class is erroneously referred to as "Sage".
