TheSage's Shield (Japanese:賢者の盾Sage's Shield) is an accessoryitem in the shield category ofequipment that debuted inFire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The Sage's Shield is a shield that offers moderate protection against both defensive skills, and also allows its user to slightly restoreHP at the start of their turn via a passive skill, as well as granting its user a combination of two more active skills that together allow all damage against the user to be halved.
History
The Sage's Shield appears to be an artifact quite similar to theBinding Shield. Its creator is unknown; though it was used by the Thabean senate as a seal to trapForneus and his creations inside the lower reaches ofThabes. The seal was stated to last "until the city crumbled to sand". As the eras passed it appears to have been guarded by a degeneratedfire dragon in Thabes Labyrinth Fifth Basement.
