Strategy
| This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
This chapter has two paths to take. The northern path involves a complex route through many ranged enemies and leads to chapter 26A, whereas the southern path requires trudging through desert terrain and leads to chapter 26B. Taking the southern route also involves fighting the Condor Squad, five powerful Dragon Knights. Take note that the Condor Squad have supports with each other, and each will receive a sizable 10% bonus to hit, crit, avoid, and dodge foreach other member of the squad nearby. They are aware of this and will remain passive until a unit is in at least three of their attack ranges simultaneously, at which point they will all become aggressive. The desert can make dealing with them quite difficult, but baiting them out with a high-defense unit (or someone under the effects of the Defense staff) can leave them open to some well-positioned bow or magical units. If the player instead opts for the northern route, note that Sepp will actually move off of the fort to attack units, so be prepared.
If Narcus was spoken to in chapter 9, he will appear again in the desert. If spoken to with Runan, he permanently joins the party and gives back all of the gold he stole. Narcus can find hidden treasure around the desert easily, as he can move unhindered in the sand.
If the player is following the criteria of the Leteena Event, the final steps are to have Kreiss deal the killing blow on Marco, then to have him visit the easternmost house. If the player is not, visit the house anyway to recruit Rebecca.
