TheRunesword (Japanese:ルーンソードRunesword) is asword introduced inFire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is amagic sword which casts theNosferatu spell, draining the enemy'sHP to heal the wielder, and it targets the enemy'sresistance stat and, inPath of Radiance, is fueled by the wielder'smagic. Like Nosferatu, the magic type which the Runesword counts as varies between appearances—it acts asdark magic inThe Blazing Blade andThe Sacred Stones, and aslight magic inPath of Radiance. InThe Binding Blade, however, it is a physical weapon.

Fire Emblem Cipher
The Runesword is present as a skill on one card inFire Emblem Cipher:S05-004ST Healing Battle Princess, Mist. It is a manual-activation skill which, for a cost of flipping 2 bond cards, modifies its user's weapon type from sword to tome, increases their range to 1–2, and gives them +10 attack power until the end of the turn.
