Eirika,Ephraim, and company approach CastleRenais. Ephraim wonders how Renais has become so desolate;Seth relays spies' reports, thatOrson has been put in charge of Renais but neglects it. Ephraim and Eirika resolve to liberate their home from Orson's misrule.Myrrh requests that she be allowed to aid the twins with herdragonstone; Ephraim agrees, on the condition that she not stray far from them.
In Castle Renais, Orson enters his chamber and speaks toMonica;Lyon andRiev later enter as well. In Eirika's route, Riev speaks to Orson, informing him that Eirika and Ephraim are coming for him and pose a threat to Monica; as Riev and Lyon leave, Lyon experiences a bout of pain, but Riev assures him it will soon pass, and the two teleport away. In Ephraim's route, Lyon informs Orson of Ephraim's approach instead, reminding Orson that he is the one who resurrected Monica. In both routes, Orson leaves Monica to deal with the twins, promising Monica he will return.
Orson is eventually defeated in battle, and the castle is secured. Seth leads Ephraim and Eirika to Orson's room, where they find the corpse of Monica, reanimated by similar magic asVigarde; Ephraim elects to destroy Monica's corpse. At the throne, Ephraim resolves to rebuild Renais when he becomes king, but doubts he will be accepted. Seth then takes Ephraim and Eirika outside, where crowds cheer; Seth informs them the crowd cheers for the end of Orson's rule, not the start of Ephraim's, and Ephraim decides to dedicate his rule to their happiness.
Ephraim, Eirika, and Seth then return to the throne to find Renais'sSacred Stone. Eirika and Ephraim raise their bracelets, which begin to shine as the throne moves to reveal a stairway; down the stairs, they find the Sacred Stone of Renais, and their bracelets react to the power of the stone, allowing the twins toclass change. Seth then retrieves Renais'sSacred Twins, giving EphraimSiegmund and EirikaSieglinde. The twins return to the throne room with the Sacred Stone;L'Arachel suggests they travel toRausten, which houses the last remaining stone, and the group agrees to travel with L'Arachel as their guide.

Trivia
- In the Japanese version, Orson carries a Silver Lance and a Runesword on Eirika's route, and a Silver Sword and a Spear on Ephraim's route. This was swapped in the Western version. Also in the Japanese version, Orson wields the Silver Sword or Silver Lance by default rather than the Spear or Runesword.
