Risen Chiefs (Japanese:屍兵将Corpse General) are a type ofRisen which serve as recurring bosses inFire Emblem Awakening. Owing to the strength-based hierarchy followed by Risen, Risen Chiefs lead their subordinate Risen by sole virtue of being stronger than the rest, and based on their limited in-game dialogue, they are also likely smarter than their underlings.

Role
Within the vanillaAwakening game, Risen Chiefs appear as the bosses of nine maps: Chapters1,2,13, and24; and Paralogues3,12,16,17, and21.
In the game'sdownloadable content, they make one further appearance as one of two bosses ofDeath's Embrace, alongsideAlgol. The Death's Embrace Risen Chief is a unique creature created by Algol as the culmination of his vile experiments on humans.[1]
