Nothing is known of its origin.

• In the NTSC English version ofThe Blazing Blade, Rienfleche's help text description—"Can strike consecutively"—is an error, as it has no such effect; this was changed in the PAL English version to match that of the other S-level weapons: "For experienced units only." This error is not present in Rienfleche's Japanese description.
• The Reinfleche's French name,Arbalète, is the same as that ofArbalest fromFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
