Recover (Japanese:リカバーRecover) is a relatively uncommonstaff andwhite magic spell in theFire Emblem series. In most of its appearances, it is the most powerful recovery staff available and fully restores an adjacent target'sHP. However, inFire Emblem Fates and all games afterwards, it merely restores a very large amount of HP to the target, significantly more than theMend staff.
InFire Emblem Gaiden and its remakeEchoes: Shadows of Valentia, Recover is instead the most basic healing spell, replacingHeal in this role. It restores a small amount of HP to an adjacent unit and is learned by all units in theCleric,Sage, andPriestess classes.

Trivia
- Although Recover in the Game Boy Advance games is programmed to potentially be able to fall short of full HP restoration, there is no situation in any of the three games where this can legitimately happen: no fixed enemy inThe Binding Blade has HP exceeding the minimum healing output of 80, and the only enemies in the other two games that do exceed that figure are in chapters where enemies do not wield Recover staves.
