TheKingdom of Pyrathi (Japanese:ペラティPeraty) is a small kingdom occupying an archipelago isolated from the rest ofthe continent. It is ruled byMannu, amanakete who worshipsSalamander as a god.[1] It was used as a penal colony by theHoly Kingdom of Archanea.[2]
Geography
ThePyrathi Isles are located in theOuterlands region ofArchanea in the Pyrathi Ocean;[3] borderingTalys andGalder to the north. To its west is PortWarren, which connects to Pyrathi with a bridge.[4][5][a]
History
Prior to the War of Shadows, Pyrathi was a penal colony used by the Kingdom of Archanea.[2]Ogma's mother was in Pyrathi when he was born; after her death, Ogma was taken away toKnorda.[6] Additionally, Bantu traveled to Pyrathi and lost hisfirestone there.[7]

InChapter 9 ofShadow Dragon & the Blade of Light andShadow Dragon, the Archanean League were forced from Port Warren byGrust, and sought refuge in Pyrathi. Mannu treated the League as trespassers and attacked them, though he is defeated in the ensuing battle.Jeorge of Archanea travelled to Pyrathi to rendezvous withMarth andNyna. Additionally,Catria of theWhitewinged Order approached Marth at Pyrathi to relay to himMinerva's request.
What happens to Pyrathi afterwards is unknown.

Pyrathi Castle
Pyrathi Castle (Japanese:ペラティ城Peraty Castle) is the capital of Pyrathi located to its southwest;[8] located to Pyrathi's southwest. During theWar of Shadows, Mannu would fall in battle there at the hands of theArchanean League.
Eastern shrine
To the east of Pyrathi, there is a shrine that housed aWyrmslayer in a chest; this fact became a rumor according to a villager.[9] The shrine is also referred to as a "palace" in the English localization ofShadow Dragon.[10]

Trivia
- According to the notes ofFire Emblem series writer and directorShouzou Kaga, Ogma was born in Pyrathi.[6] Unlike some other information from supplementary material, Ogma's connection to Pyrathi has not been directly acknowledged in any games.
- Salamander was cut inShadow Dragon's opening toChapter 9 for unknown reasons.
- Despite Salamander being omitted, Mannu still refers to Pyrathi as sacred inShadow Dragon.[11]
