Main article:Prologue I/Script

Long ago,Medeus founded the empire ofDolhr and conquered the continent ofArchanea. He was deposed and defeated byAnri, a young hero who wielded the sacred bladeFalchion. Archanea enjoyed a century of peace, until Medeus returned. He allied with the evil sorcererGharnef, and the two laid waste to the realm. KingCornelius ofAltea set out to defeat Medeus, while his sonMarth, daughterElice, and wifeLiza remained behind with a garrison manned by Altea's allyGra.

Elice summons Marth to discuss an incident with their forces in Gra. As he heads to the throne to meet her, he is attacked by Gra soldiers. Confused but undaunted, Marth fights his way to the throne room. After Marth clears out his would-be assassins, Elice arrives and explains that Cornelius was defeated by Dolhr andGrust after Gra betrayed him; his status remains unknown. Gra is attacking the castle, and Elice and Liza have been separated. Elice orders Marth to findJagen and flee, promising that she will find Liza and follow.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

Overview:

  • Map Layout: The chapter features two bottlenecks - one at the bottom and another at the top.
  • Enemy Threat: Once you pass the bottom bottleneck, enemies appear. However, they pose little threat toMarth.
  • Survivability: It's nearly impossible for Marth to die unless you intentionally disarm him and let him perish.
  • Endgame: After crossing the top bottleneck, a Soldier will occupy the throne. This soldier is not challenging.

Key Tip:

  • Weapon Usage: Use Marth'sIron Sword in initial combats. Save hisRapier for cavalry and armored enemies since they are more vulnerable to it.

Trivia

  • While the chapter is called "Prologue I" in most parts of the game, the chapter intro image says "Prologue 1".
