ThePriestess (Japanese:神官Priest) is anadvanced class able to use bothmagic andswords appearing exclusively inFire Emblem Gaiden and its remake,Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the initial class ofCelica, the second protagonist of the game, but is not exclusive to her as all femaleMages promote to Priestess; Celica can in turn promote toPrincess in an event, something no other Priestess can do.

Trivia
- InGaiden, Priestesses are internally the same class asRevenants; whether a unit is a Priestess or a Revenant is determined by its affiliation.
- TheGaiden incarnation of the Priestess class is the only one in the main series to function as both an unpromoted and a promoted class in the same game. If spinoff material is included, it shares this distinction with theWarriors incarnation of theSwordmaster, which serves as both Ryoma's unpromoted class and Owain's promoted class.
