Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Pandreo is a prepromotedHigh Priest that joins around the midgame. He boasts exceptional base stats for his join time, with high bases in magic, dexterity, luck, speed and resistance, along with decent HP. Pandreo also has an unusually high personal build of 4 for a magic unit which allows him to wield some of the heaviertomes, such as theElfire tome, without being weighed down by them in his base class, which is a rarity for magic oriented units inEngage. Along with high bases, Pandreo sports high and well distributed growth rates in most areas. His only truly low stats are in strength and defense, however because Pandreo is best used as a pure magic user, his low strength is essentially irrelevant. Aside from coming with a B rank in tomes and a C rank inarts, Pandreo also joins with an S rank instaves, allowing him to use every staff in the game in his base class, including theNodus staff. Due to all these factors, Pandreo will be among the most valuable units in his starting chapter even without having access to anyEmblem Rings.
Pandreo's personal skillParty Animal is his weakest aspect as it relies on the positioning of other player and enemy units and the boost to hit isn't very relevant thanks to Pandreo's high dextrerity and the high accuracy of tomes, while dodge tanking with Pandreo is risky due to his low defense raising the chance of death significantly.
Due to Pandreo's high magic combat potential he benefits immensely from an immediateclass-change into theSage orMage Knight class. The Sage class allows Pandreo to maximise his magic potential, giving him the ability to use the S rank tomeNova, as well as every other tome in the game, higher build and the highest magic cap out of all playable classes. As a bonus, thanks to Pandreo's innate Staff proficiency he has the ability to wield A rank staves such asFortify in the Sage class. Mage Knight has a lower magic cap, loses access to Nova and doesn't have access to staves, but in return offers Pandreo higher movement, access to swords, higher build, a higher speed cap and access to theChaos Style skill. Chaos Style in particular helps Pandreo immensely in reaching doubling thresholds for even some of the faster enemies which significantly improves his one rounding potential. At the same time the Mage Knight class still has access to powerful tomes such asBolganone andThoron, along with theLevin Sword, making it a premiere magic combat class.Griffin Knight is another solid option for Pandreo as it offers him flight utility, while also giving him access to swords and staves, but at the cost of tomes.
When it comes to the topic of which Emblem Rings suit Pandreo the best, he will perform well with any magic-oriented ring. TheRing of the Caring Princess allows him to attack multiple times on the same turn withEcho andWarp Ragnarok grants him a strong mobility option. TheRing of the Dawn Maiden amplifies his staff abilities, as well as giving him access to theThani tome for effective damage against cavalry and armored units. TheRing of the Instructor is also useful on Pandreo thanks to theThyrsus staff granting him additional range with his tomes. Even without an Emblem Ring or Bracelet, Pandreo is among the few playable units inEngage whose self efficient enough to perform more than adequately even without Engaging.
Overall, Pandreo is among the premiere magic units inEngage whose combat and utility will always make him stand out as one of the strongest characters in the players army.

Veyle: Oh, um... I don't think that's a good idea.
Pandreo: Why not? You're a dragon, aren't you? Dragons are scared creatures. It's natural for humans to worship them.
Veyle: Yes, I understand. But I'm not a Divine Dragon. I'm a Fell Dragon. As a cleric who worships the Divine Dragon, wouldn't it be...wrong for you to worship me?
Pandreo: Divine Dragon, Fell Dragon... A distinction without a difference.
Veyle: But you must know what I've done. Your fellow worshippers would turn on you if you started praying to someone like me.
