Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Palla is one of the best units in the game, joining early with good bases at promotion level, and having good growths in most stats. While herspeed growth is rather low, she starts 4 points away from capping the stat. Herweapon level of 12 means that she will be able to use all lances (when mounted) and swords (when dismounted) in the game at base.

Thesecret shop inChapter 5 sellsSkydrake Whips, which will be able to promote Palla into a Dracoknight as soon as one is obtained, allowing her to move 10 tiles unhindered by terrain in outdoor chapters. While she is weak to bows,Iote's Shield can be obtained in her join chapter to mitigate said weakness.

Fire Emblem: Archanea Saga

Role

She, Minerva and Est formed a temporary truce with PrinceHardin of Aurelis and his knights, in order to work together to suppress an insurrection from Macedonian deserters which threatened the lives of Aurelian villagers.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Role

Palla and the Whitewings are deployed tothe skirmish of Lefcandith Valley underHarmein. When Minerva is defeated, Palla and her sisters leave the battlefield. Some time afterward, she and the other Whitewings are scattered on different deployments to avert the possibility of defection; nonetheless, upon hearing of Maria's rescue and Minerva's alliance with Marth, Palla planned to join with them again.

In the battle forGra, much to the disgust of KingJiol, Palla and Catria were deployed to assist Jiol in repelling Marth's army; instead, the two approached Marth and rejoined Minerva in his army. When the war is over, she works with Minerva to restore Macedon to get her mind off her conflicted romantic feelings.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Palla joins the army in Chapter 14 ofShadow Dragon as a level 8Pegasus Knight. Her base stats are good and her high lance level allows her to use Dragonpikes andRidersbanes. Her speed growth is quite low, but her speed base is high, so she will still avoid getting doubled by most enemies even in higher difficulties, improving her survivability; however, enemy bow users will one-shot Palla in higher difficulties. She is a good user of theDragonpike in her inventory, and can also use theSilver Lance.

Palla requires two levels to promote. Many units compete forMaster Seals, but Palla is among the better candidates for promotion asDracoknight is among the best promoted classes in the game. Palla has a stronger start thanCatria, with a higher base lance rank, a higher level by three, and higher her base stats. However, Catria's speed growth is significantly better than Palla's, making Catria more likely to one-round enemies later in the game.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Palla joins atchapter 3 ofNew Mystery, where at that point she will most likely be among your strongest units. She comes with excellent bases in all areas besidesmagic, and she also has excellent growths in strength,HP andskill, but low growths in all other areas; however, considering her incredible bases, her low growths are quite a minor flaw and can be easily fixed with stat boosters. She also comes with a B rank in lances, allowing her to use almost any lance in the game, making her early game combat unparalleled. Despite not having the full access to all gender classes unlike the male characters, she still has very diversereclass options such ascavalier, myrmidon andarcher, all of which can allow her to be useful on practically every map in the game. She can also avoid being locked to E rank weapons in the aforementioned classes by promoting in her joining chapter, as she comes at level 10. Her only flaw is that because of her somewhat low growths in areas such asspeed, she won't have the same endgame potential of units such asKris orCatria, but her contributions through most of the game are not to be undermined, and this small flaw can easily be fixed by giving her statboosting items such asspeedwings.

Overall Palla is an invaluable unit; where mostpegasus knights are fairly frail and weak, Palla is instead incredibly bulky and strong when most of your other units are still somewhat weak, making her undoubtably one of the best units in the game and extremely useful on every difficulty.

Promotion stat gains

ClassHPStrSkillSpdLckDefResMovWeapon level
Falcon Knight+x to 34+0+0+x to 12+0+x to 10+0+1--
  • InFire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia promotion gains give the character as many points as necessary—the "x" value shown in the table—to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus; however, ifall stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Palla joins alongside her sister Catria in Act 3 on Celica's side. Her stats are unimpressive, with her damage, speed, and durability all being problematic. Her ability to fly is incredibly useful due to the high amount of terrain, allowing her to engage enemies quicker than anyone else. However, it's hard for her to capitalize on this theoretical massive advantage as she has poor matchups into many of the common enemies found on Celica's side, such asSnipers,Arcanists, andMyrmidons. Myrmidons are an especially unfortunate weakness, as they're a unit thatLeon also struggles against, so Palla has worse synergy with him than those who can face off against Myrmidons. Palla's performance significantly improves after promotion due to a boost to her durability and a passive +10 damage againstterrors. Her experience gain is also very slow due to her high level, so it will take a while for her to promote without investment.

It is possible to get Palla to promotion before the desert maps by giving her a level at theSkirmish outside of theMountain Village, backtracking toSeabound Shrine, and giving her both EXP fountains and theGolden Apple from the Pirate Throne. She can also be given a forged Silver Lance to significantly boost her damage output. However, even with Falcon Knight bases, she still has issues: being unable to enemy phase enemy bow users or Arcanists and getting doubled by enemy Myrmidons. While her performance with this investment isn't terrible, it is worse than what units like Mae andSaber can do with it.

Overall, Palla's ability to fly over terrain makes her a useful unit for Celica's terrain-dense maps for her ability to move around more freely than anyone else. However, her combat stats are unimpressive without significant investment, and the investment needed to make her good at combat can be given to other strong units to make them even better.

In comparison to Catria and Est

Catria joins at the same time as Palla, she has comparable growths and bases to Palla, but is quite a bit faster and has more resistance. However, despite her higher speed Catria and Palla are mostly in the same speed tier, meaning that Palla will double the majority of enemies that Catria will as well, and thanks to her higher strength Palla will deal more damage. Palla also comes with a higher base level allowing her to promote sooner. This isn't to say that Catria is bad, as she is still an incredibly strong flyer and will usually be a bit better than Palla when trained up and ultimately you should use both. Est is vastly inferior to both her sisters as she comes later than both of her sisters, at a lower level with worse bases and only slightly better growths. While Est will be the strongest out of the three when trained up, Palla and Catria are both still better thanks to needing fewer resources to contribute to the army.

Fire Emblem Heroes

There are five different variations of Palla available inHeroes.

Personality

As the eldest sister of the three Whitewings, Palla is mild-mannered and down to earth, always caring about her sisters. She has strong relationships with both of them, and although she tends towards reprimanding Est most often, she still cares deeply for her, taking on something of a motherly role among the three sisters.[1] She is devoted toMinerva,[2] both as a commander and as a friend. She is largely pragmatic,[3] and a skilled tactician.[4] Nevertheless, she does feel her emotions strongly, but mostly prefers not to let them show.[5]

Endings

Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

Palla
Her efforts to rebuild the Kingdom of Macedon keep her quite busy.

Gaiden

If both Catria and Est are still alive

Having protected her younger sisters, she flew back to Archanea with joy in her heart.

If either Catria or Est are dead

"I'm sorry, Palla. For such a thing to have happened..."
"No, don't worry, Celica. After all, my sisters' loss is my own responsibility..."
With grief in her heart, Palla flew back to her homeland.

Mystery of the Emblem

Book 1

Palla, Elder Sister
The war left this once self-assured knight's heart in knots: but Palla still worked diligently at rebuilding Macedon.

Book 2

Palla, Elder Sister
The knots in her heart only tightened at the war's end, but they would remain forever hidden as she rebuilt Macedon.

Shadow Dragon

Palla, Elder Sister
The war left this once self-assured knight's heart in knots; but Palla still worked diligently at rebuilding Macedon.

New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow

Palla, Elder Sister
Though her feelings pained her, Palla put them aside and diligently continued her work.

Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

If Est and Catria survived
Having rescued Est as planned, Palla returned home in triumph. Tales of her further exploits line the pages of Archanea's history books.

If Est or Catria did not survive
Though painful loss hung over her return home like a dark cloud, the annals of Archanean history are replete with tales of Palla's glorious exploits later in life.
