Nomads (Japanese:遊牧民Nomad) are members of a bow-wielding class present inFire Emblem. This class is exclusive toFire Emblem: The Binding Blade andFire Emblem: The Blazing Blade as all nomads hail from the tribes ofSacae inElibe.Arch Knights inJugdral andBow Knights inTellius are similar classes.

Nomads are basically mountedArchers, and as such, they can only attack from a distance and cannot engage units adjacent to them. Being on horseback gives them great mobility, but curiously inThe Binding Blade, they are not vulnerable to anti-cavalry weapons, such aslongswords,horseslayers, andrapiers, though the effect applies inThe Blazing Blade. Besides, nomads have very well-trained horses and are hindered less by rough terrain or weather conditions than other cavalry units. Nomads also tend to have lowerconstitution than other mounted units, giving them highaid.

All characters of this basic class can be promoted toNomadic Troopers.
