Nasir's first story appearance is inChapter 11, where he gives player passage to Begnion. He stays withIke's army inBegnion.
Late in in the story,Ena appears as a boss inChapter 21 in the form of a red dragon. Once defeated, Nasir betrays Ike and helps her escape; Ike then captures Nasir and hold him inside a tent. At some point duringChapter 23, Nasir escapes from Ike's army.
Later, Ike encounters the Black Knight. Two outcomes can happen: either Ike is unable to defeat the Black Knight, after which Ena joins Ike's party, or Ike does defeat the Black Knight, after which Nasir joins Ike.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Nasir is one of two mutually exclusive playable dragon laguz, and joins if Ike defeated the Black Knight near the end. He is one of few units capable of damaging Ashnard. He has extremely low movement, having lower untransformed movement than generals, and promoted infantry movement when transformed. He has a low starting laguz gauge, taking around 4 turns to transform while having low movement. In combination of this, he can only attack at 1-range, severely limiting his attack capabilities.
At base, he is one of the bulkiest units in the game, having high health, defense, resistance, and Renewal. He has a respectable strength base, with a significant +10 buff when transformed, though his weak weapon type limits him and he cannot use forges. He has a respectable skill and speed base when transformed, doubling some enemies and rarely getting doubled unless on higher difficulties. Transformed, he deals 10 damage to Ashnard and avoids being doubled, which is sufficient for him to beat Ashnard on his own over the course of several turns and withPhysic support, but relying on Nasir is generally frivolous as any Ike that can beat the Black Knight can also fight Ashnard. Still, he can contribute damage against Ashnard if only to make the fight go faster. Nasir has a high enough weight stat to shove unmounted beorc units when untransformed. The Demi Band is extremely important for Nasir to keep up with other infantry units in endgame.
Nasir has respectable growths for all of his stats except luck and resistance. However, he joins extremely high leveled and late so his stats will not vary much from his base stats. An average trained Ena can compete with Nasir's stats, but Nasir's transformation bonuses give him significantly more power than Ena's.
Nasir has Nihil which can be valuable at endgame, as generic enemy units can have dangerous offensive skills. His mastery skill, Boon prevents him from getting put to sleep by bishops in the last two chapters. There is no practical reason to remove these skills, so he performs best keeping them.
Nasir cannot support anyone, so his light affinity will go unused.

- Note: The above stats are Nasir's default stats. If aRadiant Dawn game was started via adata transfer fromPath of Radiance and Nasir managed to reach level 20 in his highest possible class in thePath of Radiance save file, any stat Nasir capped inPath of Radiance will result in a boost to his base in the stat in question inRadiant Dawn. The boost is a +5 formax HP, and +2 forstrength, magic, skill, speed, luck, defense orresistance. SeeData transfer §Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for more information.
- Nasir can cap HP and skill via level-up and stat-boosting items; however, he cannot gain enough points to cap any other stats, and thus cannot legitimately obtain a boost in those other stats.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Nasir is the only playable white dragon in the game and joins extremely late in endgame. He has a very high magic base and an S rank strike, so he can contribute magic chip damage. His resistance is high which lets him tank, as all enemy units from his join time are magic users. His speed base is very low, so he will get doubled frequently, though this does not bother him much since his high resistance and HP result in him shrugging off almost all of the enemy attacks in his playable chapters. As a dragon laguz, he has 1-2 range combat, so he can counter most enemy units. He has low mobility which limits his options. Ultimately as a combat unit, Nasir is mediocre at best and performs best as a support unit. InPath of Radiance, Nasir is unable to cap any stats—with or without stat boosters—and cannot support anyone, so Nasir does not benefit from transfers.
Nasir has a high magic and resistance growth and will cap them quickly. He has low growths in strength, defense, and speed, though these stats are useless or unsalvageable for his available chapters so it does not hurt him. His skill and luck growth are high for a laguz unit, which can help hit more reliably, especially Ashera's auras. While Nasir's combat would benefit from maxing his strike rank, it is unrealistic for him to raise it in two chapters.
Nasir has the White Pool skill, which gives a +5 magic and speed boost to adjacent units. This is an extremely valuable support skill for endgame as Ashera's auras are extremely fast, so this boost allows more player units to double attack them. This is also helpful for buffing magic users. White Pool can be combined with Ena and Gareth's Blood Tide skills so a unit able to double can deal even more accurate damage. Nasir has Boon which heals silenced or sleeping units, though this is mostly useless apart from mitigating the effect of Ashera's Silence attack. Nihil is a valuable skill for the endgame bosses and auras, though Nihil is better moved to a more combat-oriented unit. Unusually for a unit with high magic stats, Nasir can learn Imbue, despite every other magical unit being unable to do so. This is very beneficial as Nasir is able to recover a significant amount of HP at the start of every player phase should he be caught in any of Ashera's physical attacks, improving his survival and may as well render him near invincible. Given how he can tank the enemy's magical attacks extremely well, Nasir can make good use of the Provoke skill to draw enemies towards him instead of his allies, especially those with low resistance.
Nasir has a light affinity which gives a light defense and accuracy boost. Due to his join time, it is only possible for him to build one C support, which is still impractical as building a support with him will often take more than one chapter. As a non-combat unit, he does not benefit much from a support partner, especially since his high base resistance is more than enough to ensure his survival for the remainder of the game.
