— Myson

Myson (Japanese:ミュソンMyson) is a minor antagonist appearing inFire Emblem: Three Houses. He is a high ranking member ofthose who slither in the dark.

Biography

Myson makes his first canonical appearance in Part I duringConstance andYuri's paralogue, ambushingDuke Gerth in Empire territory with the intention of stealing theFetters of Dromi with the support of some hired thugs of his choice, who he experimented with in order to turn them intoDemonic Beasts during battle. Myson is eventually defeated and forced to escape, though not without claiming his experiments were successful in the end.

On the Silver Snow and Verdant Wind routes, Myson is one of the many Agarthans defending Shambhala from theResistance's Army/Leicester Alliance. He can be circumvented or slain at the player's discretion, although the ensuing destruction of the underground city at the hands ofThales makes his chances of survival fairly slim. On the Azure Moon route, Myson aidsEdelgard's army and fights alongside his own troops against theKingdom army during the final battle at the Imperial Palace, where his defeat makes every soldier at his command flee from the battle. By contrast, Myson makes no appearances on the Crimson Flower route.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Role

Myson is an enemy fought inChapter 20/21 of the Silver Snow/Verdant Wind routes,Chapter 22 of the Azure Moon route and in the paralogueA Cursed Relic. During his appearance in Azure Moon, killing Myson will force every unit aligned with those who slither in the dark (excluding Demonic Beasts) to retreat.

Personality

Myson desires nothing more than giving his race the surface world his kind believes has been taken away by the humans currently living in it. Like all on-screen Agarthans, he considers himself to be a member of Fódlan's master race and the surface-dwelling humans to be nothing but "beasts", having no qualms about experimenting with them and causing them suffering. Myson also shows a result centric mentality, having no qualms with allying with those he despises or even lose the intended target of his missions if results of some kind were achieved in the end.
