Mauthe Doog
| ||||||
|
TheMauthe Doog (Japanese:モーサドゥーグMauthedoog) is an enemy-exclusivemonsterclass which is exclusive toFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. They are monstrous dog-like beasts created through the dark power ofFomortiis, which attack by biting their foes with theirFiery Fang weapon. They are classified as abase class, and while they cannot actuallychange class, they have a more powerfuladvanced counterpart in theGwyllgi.
In terms of stat distribution, Mauthe Doogs are a monster counterpart to the humanMyrmidon class. Although they have lowstrength and poorHP anddefense, making them very frail, they have very highskill andspeed which allow them to hit often and accurately, if doing little damage. Their speed is helped even further by their respectableconstitution and the lowweight of their Fiery Fang, which keeps theirattack speed high and interferes with the ability of members of the player's army to consistently follow-up attack them. They also have very highmovement for an infantry class, among the best of any base monster class, which allows them to cover large distances of the map and close in the player's units very quickly.
