Matthis: Brother to Lena, based on Matthis's appearance inFire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, was first made available from November 19, 2022 – November 26, 2022 as part of the eponymousGrand Hero Battle,Matthis: Brother to Lena. He was the first Hero to come with theVulture Lance. He is able to be summoned usingHeroic Grails since the 7.1.0 Update on January 10, 2023.

Matthis is fought duringBook VI, Chapter 13: Part 3. He served as the enemy commander duringMjölnir's Strike during event 121 (February 10, 2023 – February 13, 2023).

Matthis was the focus of the Grand Hero Battles quests running from December 1, 2023 – December 8, 2023, during which a 3★ version was given out as a quest reward. He was also the focus of the Grand Hero Party Quest running on February 4, 2026, during which a 5★ version was given out as a quest reward.

Matthis: Brother to Lena
Matthis is a knight from Macedon. He might seem quite timid and unassuming, but he's actually the older brother of Lena, Macedon's Angel herself!	Quite the opposite of the resolute, determined Lena, Matthis prefers to go with the flow. When ordered around by someone aggressive, he'll quickly fall in line and follow directions.	But that isn't to say he doesn't have a backbone—he suddenly gets serious whenever Lena's involved. If it's for his sister's sake, he'll confront even the mightiest of foes!	Matthis and his sister are like night and day, and you might think he's unreliable. But I think that when the time calls for it, the two share a certain kind of strength!
