Mansel (Japanese:マンセルMansell) is a minor character appearing inFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. He is the pious ruler of the theocracy ofRausten and the uncle ofL'Arachel.

Role
Mansel is mentioned inFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones's prologue narration as the highest power inRausten, though little other info is given on him.
Mansel appears in person as anNPC inChapter 19. He welcomesL'Arachel the others into Rausten Court to rest before their travels toDarkling Woods.
Later that nightRiev attacks the palace withGrado remnants, with a particular vendetta against Mansel, whom had excommunicated Riev from the clergy some time ago.[2] Mansel survives, being protected byEphraim andEirika's forces.
The next day Mansel bequeaths theSacred Stone of Rausten toEirika andEphraim for their battle against theDemon King. He also givesLatona andIvaldi to them to aid in their battles in Darkling Woods, mentioning that saving the world is worth breaking a few laws and removing the relics from the temple.
He is somewhat troubled to see his niece depart to Darkling Woods, though she reassures him that she is capable of banishing the forest's demons. He bids his niece and the others farewell.

Mansel appears to be a level-headed ruler. He cares for his niece,L'Arachel, though he doesn't seem to be able to control her when she sets her desire on doing something, in this case, wandering across the entirety ofMagvel.
