Following the advice of a priestess at the Temple of Mila, she found the Sage's Hamlet and consulted withHalcyon, the Great Sage who lived there, who directed her toDuma Tower to findthe sword that sealed Mila. At her request he also blessed her friendAlm withnew power.[1] She also talked with a resident of the village who tried to tell her the way to fight Jedah, but a curse laid on him killed him before he could tell her everything.[2]

The Sage's Hamlet is a hidden village which can be reached only through traveling through the Lost Treescape. It is largely inhabited bySages, including the Great SageHalcyon, who fled there after being betrayed byJedah.[3]
The Sage's Hamlet still exists in the era ofYlisse andValm, or at least there exists a village by the same name in roughly the same location.Chrom of Ylisse fought a battle here against the treasure-hunterGecko, who was seeking a treasure said to be hidden in the Hamlet.

Fire Emblem Gaiden
InGaiden, the Lost Treescape is a major dungeon inCelica's part ofAct 4, and is accessed after clearing Dolth Keep and entering a pit in its back room. The primary goal is to navigate through it to exit into the north of Rigel to Duma Gate, but several other goals are available for those who explore it. Threechests are found in the Lost Treescape, each guarded by askirmish, with these chests containing the onlySilver Sword,Silver Lance andSilver Bow in the game; in addition, one of the skirmishes is full ofEntombed, making it a decent place to grind forexperience. There is also a Mila statue in the south-east, allowing units topromote.
Near the western exit to Duma Gate, there is also a northern exit to the Sage's Hamlet. Visiting here is necessary in order to promoteAlm, and the player also receives a hint for how to fightJedah later in the game.
Some parts of the Lost Treescape contain exits that do not connect to any actual part of the path, and instead lead to what is called a "lost square". Lost squares all look the same, with four exits, do not go anywhere and continuing through them will only get Celica lost in more lost squares, meaning that Celica must go back the way she came to get back on the actual path. On the map below, any exit not noted as connecting to anything leads to a lost square.
