Loki (Japanese:ロキLoki) is a character appearing inFire Emblem Heroes, primarily as an antagonist for the story of Book II. Originally appearing largely in side chapters as a minor character allied withVeronica, her true appearance and intentions were left unknown, as she would only appear in the form of another character (originallyBruno when first appearing toVeronica, then brieflySharena andAlfonse before taking up disguise asAnna and deciding to stick with that appearance). Loki has since been given a larger role in Book II, revealed to be the strategist forMúspell.

Role

Loki first appears inXenologue 2, introducing the concept of theTempest toVeronica while disguised her brother,Bruno; after Veronica figures out Loki isn't her brother, Loki reveals her name and ability to disguise herself, before temporarily adopting the appearance ofAnna as her own. She continues to appear in story sequences inParalogue 10 andParalogue 13, serving as an ally to Veronica.

Loki reappears in Book II, having positioned herself asMúspell's strategist. She appears duringChapter 1, appearing during story sequences inPart 4 before revealing her true form and being fought inPart 5. She is fought again inChapter 2: Part 5, speaks toSurtr inChapter 3: Part 5, and is fought once more inChapter 4: Part 5. She continues to appear in story sequences duringChapter 8 and, under the guise ofYlgr,Chapter 9,Chapter 10, andChapter 11, using the disguise to leak information to Múspell. She reveals herself inChapter 12, and is fought duringPart 5, after which she reveals the location of the secret entrance to the temple in which Surtr resides to the Askrans.

There are three different playable variations of Loki available toHeroes. The normal variation of Loki had information as a playable unit added in theBrave Redux update, and became available for summoning by players on October 23, 2018. A spring variation of Loki was added to the game alongside theRegal Rabbits update and made available to players in the thirteenth edition of theTempest Trials+, "To Defy the Gods", which initially ran from March 23, 2019 through April 2, 2019. A Mythic Hero variation of Loki was added toHeroes on April 30, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to May 13, 2024.

Sometimes it seems like she's just playing games when she deceives us and the Heroes. Well, we've summoned her as an ally now, so I hope she takes things a little more seriously!
