Linus Reed (Japanese:ライナス・リーダスLinus Reedus) is a member of theBlack Fang, the youngest son of its commanderBrendan Reed, and one of the eliteFour Fangs of the organization. The normal variation of Linus is one of the characters added to the game in theThe King's Demise update, and was made available to players in the twenty-firstGrand Hero Battle, which initially ran from June 12, 2018 through June 19, 2018. A fallen variation of Linus, based on his resurrection as amorph inthe final chapter ofThe Blazing Blade, was added in the New Heroes & Rearmed Chrom update, and was available through a Grand Hero Battle that first ran from May 10, 2023.

Linus is best described as rash, impulsive, and extremely loyal to his siblings and loved ones. He shows deep respect for Lloyd, and is so wrought with grief after his death that he loses the ability to reason, as he attempts to kill his step-sister, Nino, even when they had gotten along so easily before.

Linus: Mad Dog
Here's Linus, or, as some like to call him, the Mad Dog! He's a leading member of the Black Fang, an organization of assassins that targets wicked nobles who prey on the common folk.	Linus is included among the top members of the Black Fang, known as the Four Fangs. His brother Lloyd is right up there with him, and they've carried out countless dangerous missions together.	Linus faced off against Eliwood in Bern, but soon learned that he had been misled about his opponent's true nature. It was then that he swore he would find out who was plotting behind the scenes to control the Black Fang's actions.	With his raw strength, Linus can swing a weapon as if it were light as a feather. He's fearless, too, and won't back down from a fight no matter how strong his foes are. Maybe some of that bravery will rub off on me now that he's helping the Order of Heroes!

Hey, isn't that Linus, one of the Black Fang assassins? There's something off about him, though… He might be an assassin, but I've never seen him look so bloodthirsty. He's also got a strange gold tint to his eyes…	I see… It turns out that the real Linus died under suspicious circumstances, and he was brought back as a puppet-like "morph" at the hands of Nergal, who's secretly controlling the Black Fang!	Unlike the real Linus, though, this morph doesn't share any of his hearty zest for life. I hear that the only thing morphs think about is defeating the enemy placed in front of them…	Linus continues to fight, now in the form of an inhuman morph. It looks to me like he's in pain… When will he finally be able to stop fighting?

• InChapter 27E/29H, Linus's weapon was changed from a Runesword in the Japanese version to a Light Brand in the Western version. However, Nils's augury for the chapter ("I sense a dire foe in the battle ahead. The weapon he wields is cursed.
