Life and Death (Japanese:死線Line of Death) is askill which debuted inFire Emblem Fates. Associated with theMaster of Arms class, Life and Death is a high-risk, high-reward skill in that it allows the user to deal an additional 10 damage with any of their attacks, at the cost of taking an additional 10 damage when on the receiving end of any attack.
InHeroes, Life and Death is a four-tiered type A passive skill (whose individual tiers areLife and Death 1,Life and Death 2,Life and Death 3, andLife and Death 4 in order from lowest to highest). It boosts its user'sattack andspeed, but reduces theirdefense andresistance; the size of the buff and debuff increases with the skill's tier.
InEngage, it is one of several skills that are exclusively used by some high-level enemies on the game's hardest difficulty mode,Maddening. Life and Death is exclusive to enemyBarbarians.
