Juno (Japanese:ユーノJuno) is a playablefalcoknight inFire Emblem: The Binding Blade. She isa retired leader ofIlia'spegasus knights, wife ofZelot, and older sister ofShanna andThea.

Role

Juno isZelot's wife and a retired Falcon Knight. It's revealed that Juno met Zelot on an Etrurian battlefield. They had been hired by opposite factions. Rather than fight, Zelot tried to reason with her and their relationship grew from there. Afterwards they have a daughter, which neither of them had enough time to see, because of their duty as mercenaries. She gave birth to her child when Zelot was far away in mission, so he never met their newborn. She was forced to entrust her baby to a close friend, so she could have the ends met by keeping with her work as a mercenary.

At the beggining of the Disturbance of Bern, Zelot leaves Edessa, leaving Juno in care of it to go to the Lycia territory in hopes to joinRoy's army. However, with Zelot gone, GeneralMurdock from Bern saw an opportunity to attack Ilia and seize it forBern. Juno and company fought with all that she got but she got captured by Bern's forces and imprisoned in her own castle. At some time, Murdock assignedRoartz to the castle defense. When the Etrurian army arrive in Edessa, Zelot and his sisters-in-law,Shanna andThea, go to free her, only to find that Juno had already decided to fight alongside the Etrurian army despite being retired. Working together, they defeat Roartz, who had hidden in the castle, and later lead Roy to whereMaltet, the Divine Weapon of Barigan, lies. From there on, Juno accompanies the Etrurian Army for the rest of the war.

If Juno survived when the war ends, she returns to Edessa, the capital of Ilia, and works to unify the Pegasus knights of Ilia. Her husband also leads the knights union, and they became the first queen and king of Ilia. Later, she is asked to lead the newly united Pegasus Knights, but she refuses and spends the rest of her life happily with Zelot.

Analysis

Juno can be recruited at the end of Chapter 20 as a pre-promoted level 9Falcon Knight. Her base stats are very low for her late join time, her growths are low, and she has very few levels to grow. She will gain experience slowly because of her high level, which leaves only stat boosters from thesecret shop inChapter 21 to increase her stats.

Juno has an A rank in lances when she joins, letting her use high-quality lances like theSilver Lance with no investment. However, she only has an E rank in swords, so despite having access to two weapon types, she fares poorly with anything but lances;Iron Swords are the only swords Juno can use at base, and with the lowmight of Iron Swords, she will struggle to deal damage to most enemies.

While Juno's combat is poor, her class has flying utility. Juno will not be the only flier available to the player when she joins, but she can be used to move units across the mountain ranges in Chapter 21; Chapter 21 has eighteen deployment slots, so there will usually be a free deployment slot for her. It is worth noting that she can execute theTriangle Attack withShanna andThea.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Role

There are two variations of Juno available inFire Emblem Heroes. Juno was first made available between the period of May 20, 2021 through June 18, 2021 in a special bridal variation as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of theBridal Grace update. A version of Juno themed to theNabata desert was added to the game on January 19, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to February 19, 2024.

Short: Worked to reunite the Ilian Pegasus Knights.

Long: After returning to Edessa, Juno worked to reunite the divided Pegasus Knights of Ilia. Later, she was asked to lead the newly united Pegasus Knights, but she refused and led the rest of her life happily with Zelot. After her death, she was named the "Grand Flightleader" and is remembered to this day.

Juno's wearing light, elegant fabrics that tastefully complement her mature charms. I'm a big fan of the floral tie she's using to hold her hair back!	She's also carrying a bouquet of flowers with a cool color scheme that calls to mind the snowy, cold climate of her Ilian homeland. Aren't they lovely?	Juno's bridal outfit beautifully conveys her gentle, kindhearted allure. I'm sure Zelot will fall in love with her all over again when he sees her!
