Istvan (Japanese:イトッツItots) is aBegnion commander and the general of the personal army of the duke of Seliora, who fought in the war between theLaguz Alliance andBegnion. He led Lord Seliora's army in battle with theGreil Mercenaries, who targeted him whileRanulf led the Laguz Alliance army elsewhere to fight a different noble's army at the same time.[1]

Personality
Istvan was motivated by a greed to claim the reward for stopping the Laguz Alliance on behalf of his master, as a result of the fierce competition between the nobles for the rewards and status,[2] and was disappointed to learn that he fought only beorc, which would fetch a lesser reward. According toSoren, he was a poor commander who effectively wasted his soldiers' abilities.[3] He spoke in a very simplistic way which mostly omittedarticles.
