TheIron Axe (Japanese:鉄の斧Iron Axe) is one of the most basicaxe-type weapon in theFire Emblem series. Cheap and durable, it has a better accuracy than other axes. However, its main drawback is its weight; in the hands of units with low constitution or low speed, the Iron Axe may leave them too slow and susceptible to be attacked twice per turn.
The Iron Axe made its first appearance inFire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, replacing theAxe fromShadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, and it has been in each game since then apart fromEchoes: Shadows of Valentia.
