Biography
During theWar of Liberation, Iote was but one of many slaves of theDolhr Empire, dispatched to the untamed forests of Dolhr's southern reaches. In time, he and some of his fellow slaves escaped captivity, learned to tame and ride the wildwyverns of the region, and commenced a rebellion against Dolhr.[1]
In the year 503, five years after the downfall of Dolhr and the end of the War of Liberation, Iote founded the kingdom of Macedon and became its first king.[1] The shield he used in his rebellion became known asIote's Shield and was one of the national treasures of Macedon.[2] Over a century later, Iote's descendantMichalis, who was the king of Macedon during theWar of Shadows, was regarded as the second coming of Iote.[1]

The slaves were forced to excavate ruins and construct the country. Many people could not find food, were forced to work, and died from abuse. Amongst such tragic conditions, finally one youth stood up. His name was Iote. He and his companions escaped from the forests and fought, riding dragons, to continue the battle of liberation. After Dolhr's fall, the slaves established their own country at these rich and newly developed lands. And the heroic Iote was encouraged to become its first king. Afterwards the Kingdom of Macedon was feared as the land of dracoknights, and that was how it was born.
