TheInk Painting (Japanese:虹の賢者の墨絵Rainbow Sage's Ink Painting) is ascroll introduced inFire Emblem Fates, existing outside the primary scroll hierarchy ofHoshido. The Ink Painting tradesmight foraccuracy in comparison to the like-levelRabbit Spirit, and also acts as the scroll equivalent of the "Venge" weapons, doubling in might when a foe initiates combat; though this does come at the cost of the wielder being unable to follow-up attack and use does take its toll on the wielder.

The Japanese version ofFates names this item for the enigmaticRainbow Sage; international versions, however, downplay this scroll's connection to any character.
