Torch (Japanese:トーチTorch), known asIllume inEngage, is a supportstaff which was introduced inFire Emblem: Thracia 776. Its function is to assist when fighting underfog of war conditions by expanding the field of sight available to the player, allowing them to see further through the darkness/fog than they normally could. As a result, it is only available in games which feature fog of war. It is a staff counterpart to the more commonTorch item, which performs a similar function. In most games, it increases the user's vision range, while inThe Blazing Blade andThe Sacred Stones, it illuminates a specified tile on the map.
